As for sport, there are 7   Golf Courses,    many tennis courts and putting greens.  Shiskine   golf & tennis club  is only 1 mile away from Hill View,

Walking     & climbing are very popular activities on Arran.

The   Coastal Way    follows a continuous 100 km route around the island

The Island has scenic roads for cycling, especially the west coast & Machrie Moor road are ideal for this. You can also go off road, and there are quite a few forestry tracks that you can use.

Fishing is another activity you can do. Iorsa water & the Machrie burn are some of the better waters. Contact   Dougarie Estate   for more information. Sea fishing is obviously another option.

If you fancy a  thrill, then have a go at   Paragliding.

For sea kayaking, sailing, gorge walking, mountain biking, archery, climbing, cycle hire and other adventure activities then try the.....               Arran Adventure Company.

If it is a wet day, then    Auchrannie    is a great place to go for a swim, sauna, steam room, sanarium, footbaths, feature showers and health treatments etc. There is a  20 metre indoor pool with children's pool and water features.
